Olivia-Anne’s Story

She had the surgery at 5months old. The ICU staff were all so wonderful. Olivia-anne started to come out of the anesthetic with-in a few hours. Apart from staying in Melbourne for nearly 3weeks, it went extremely well.

Kynan’s Story

Whyalla infant Kynan suddenly stopped feeding at 14 weeks, after he was diagnosed with various CHD conditions, his parents were told it was a miracle that he was still alive!

Jack’s Story

That evening we were transferred to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and told in no uncertain terms that Jack was born with a complex Congenital Heart Disorder and that the doctors could not give us any guarantees that he would survive. Jack had an ASD, a complex series of VSD’s, Pulmonary Atresia and Double Outlet Right Ventricle.

Alex’s Story

“Alex was born on the 29th of June, 1992 at 2.29pm weighing 1500 grams (3lb 5oz). Wayne and I were over the moon, he seemed normal, only small. He was whisked off to Intensive Care to be checked out. Six hours later the paediatrician told us something was wrong with his heart…”
