City to Bay a Huge Success for HKSA

A huge THANK YOU to all of our wonderful HeartKids of SA City Bay Participants!!

I would like to acknowledge the Events and Fundraising Sub-Committee! Great job guys! Everyone loved the bags, shirts and caps! The balloons brought us lots of attention (which was the aim of the day!) and thanks to IKEA for their sponsorship of the shirts and caps too. We were very easy to spot in the crowd and it all contributed to a very successful day of ‘awareness raising’!

Also, many thanks to those who donated, made a fundraising web page, or gathered sponsorship from family and friends. As I send this message the online fundraising total stands at $15,179.65 – Amazing!! And that doesn’t include the cash donations yet to be totalled! And there are still donations coming in via http://www.heartkidssa.org.au and http://www.everydayhero.com.au/HeartKids_SA as well.

We had a total of 161 participants who entered the event for us.
Next year we aim to make it 300! A sea of people in our shirts and caps and double the balloons!
